Honors student at The Ohio State University studying chemical engineering.
I have worked on several major engineering projects so far.
Both of these two projects involved research and experimental design components. The microfluidics project was an ongoing experiment measuring yeast shearing in a microchannel under varying conditions, and it utilized knowledge of 3D CAD simulations and lab practices. The nanotechnology research project involved designing a lab-on-a-chip that would be able to screen for a major disease, and it utilized advanced 3D CAD as well as parsing scientific literature.
FEHeck Yeah is a C++ game package that was designed in a team for Honors Fundamentals of Engineering. It runs on a proprietary game device (similar to Raspberry Pi) and interacts with low-level graphics APIs. This project earned extra credit.
I have learned how to create websites and web servers through a combination of experience and classes.
Scan Cell is a web application that takes images of yeast cells under a microscope and processes them to count the number of cells in the image. All of the image processing is done in the browser. Try it out with the demo image.
Affiliate is an open source project that helps website owners change preexisting links to commerce sites into affiliated links. It currently has amassed stars on Github, many CDN hits from a popular CDN, and the code module has been downloaded many times from the JavaScript registry.
